Gabriela Dragnea Horvath, PhD, teaches for the NYU Global Liberal Studies Program and serves as general editor for the on-line publication Voyages-Journal of Contemporary Humanism. She has authored a monograph in Italian, Shakespeare ermetismo, mistica, magia (Rome, 2003) and the comparative study Theatre, Magic and Philosophy: William Shakespeare, John Dee and the Italian legacy (Routledge, 2017). In addition she has published essays, book reviews, interviews, translations of poetry and short stories in magazines and anthologies in Italy, Romania, USA, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, Switzerland. She is currently working on Theatre, Magic and Politics in the Medici Florence.
